Found New Virus From China 2022

New Langya Virus - Also called Langya henipavirus, a new type of henipavirus scientists have found in throat swab samples from patients with fever in eastern China.

Henipavirus can cause respiratory symptoms and is related to Nipah and Hendra viruses, but is not easily transmitted to humans.

Scientists involved in the study pointed out that this newly discovered Henipavirus, which may have originated from animals,

People who have been infected with this virus can have symptoms including fever, fatigue, cough, anorexia, myalgia, and nausea.

There is currently no vaccine or treatment for henipavirus, and the only treatment is supportive care to manage complications.
